On this project at Dulles Airport, asphalt shoulders were removed, replaced and widened. New lights were installed for runways and taxiways, and the concrete pavement was removed and replaced. Multiple phases, including night time construction, were utilized to allow for uninterrupted airport operation.

Major work quantities consisted of 82,142 cy of unclassified excavation, 42,826 cy of subbase, 53,300 tons of bituminous paving and 101,379 sf of new pavement markings. Our crews also installed 373 new edge and center line lights and replaced over 100,000 lf of electrical wire.
