The Commonwealth of Virginia has 125,756 lane miles of roads, making it the third largest state maintained highway system in the country. To maintain this system VDOT bids pavement overlay projects throughout the state. These roads range from heavily traveled interstates in urban sections requiring night paving, to rural secondary roads. Chemung Contracting performs services under these contracts in Central and Northern Virginia supplying asphalt needs from our plants in Culpeper and Gainesville Virginia. As a part of these services we maintain AMRL certified facilities at both plants along with a staff of technicians certified by both AASHTO and VDOT.
